Suzanne Sanders: Principal

BA (Hons) Dance Theatre and RAD RTS.

Suzanne started dancing at 3 years old in Plymouth. She then trained in London at Laban and the Royal Academy of Dance, gaining much teaching and performance experience in both the UK and abroad. She returned to the South West and established SJS Dance Academy in 1993.

Charlotte Watts:
BA (Hons) Ballet Education and LRAD RAD RTS.
Charlotte started dancing at the age of 2 and has been dancing with SJS Dance Academy since 2005. She moved to London to complete her dance and teacher training at the Royal Academy of Dance.
During her training she gained much teaching, choreographing and performance experience, before graduating in 2019 with a BA(Hons) in Ballet Education and Licentiate of the RAD.
Since graduating she taught in Bermuda, before returning to the South West to teach for SJS. Charlotte also works as a freelance dance teacher for local schools.

Morag Parker:
BA (Hons) Music Theatre
Morag started dancing at 3 years old and has been dancing with SJS Dance Academy since 1997. She studied Music Theatre at the University of Central Lancashire and since graduating in 2010 has worked in performance, choreographing, directing and teaching. As well as working with SJS Dance and SJS Arts, Morag also works as a freelance practitioner for Theatre Royal Plymouth, Above Bounds Theatre and other arts organisations.

Jade Cross:
Jade started her dance training from the age of 15 and achieving an A in her BETEC Dance in Launceston College. She then went onto gain more experience through various performances and continued her training, achieving a Distinction in UAL Level 3 Extended diploma in performance and production Arts in Plymouth and a First in Foundation Degree in Performance Arts and Bachelor of Arts with Upper second Class Honours having an Approved Program of study in dance performance. Jade then went on to gain teaching skills through Charlie Dance Classes and then joined SJS to progress with her teaching career in dance.

Mimi Harrison : Mimi started dancing aged 3, training in ballet with SJS for 15 years and accompanied by contemporary, jazz and tap classes. From there she went to the university of Chichester for her BA (hons) Degree in Dance performance. During this time, Mimi toured the UK with 3 Fall Dance Company where she was also trained in Kathak and Turkish folk dance. Whilst touring, she taught dance workshops at the surrounding schools and discovered her love for teaching contemporary dance
